Kenneth Watson (16th November 1931 - 21st July 1998) played Detective-Constable Parry on Coronation Street in October 1968, and then returned to the programme in the recurring role of Gatsby Club owner Ralph Lancaster from May 1975 to February 1980. Born in London of a Scottish family, he grew up in Braintree, Essex. He studied at RADA, then in rep in Oxford, Colchester and Manchester. His television debut was in Emergency-Ward 10. His other credits include Doctor Who, Dad's Army and Emmerdale Farm.
