Details: An elderly man went into a Las Vegas bank claiming that he needed a second mortgage on his home. The man returned 15 minutes later and pulled out a gun and a "bomb". He had the loan officer summon her boss, then the man had both employees affix two "bombs" to their wrists. Finally, the robber ordered the bank manager to unsecure the vault and empty all the money. Immediately afterward the robber absconded, and police determined both bombs were fakes. Both the bank manager and the loan officer noted two unique factors to this robbery; that this robbery took well over ten minutes, whereas most bank robbers wish to make their crime as quickly as possible in order to make a clean getaway.
