He is famous for the various announcements over the park PA for parades, shows and special events as well as being heard in various Disneyland TV specials, commercials and Cast Member training videos. He also did voice work for Walt Disney World, Tokyo Disneyland and the attractions themselves, including instructions, emergency precautions and safety spiels. Because of the prevalence of his voice in the park, his nickname was "The Voice of Disneyland". Wagner also voiced a lot of the Disney characters in the 1980s, primarily for live entertainment offerings in the parks and in Disney on Ice shows. One of his most famous lines is from a safety spiel at the Matterhorn Bobsleds attraction: "Remain seated please; permanecer sentados por favor." This line is reprised in the nostalgic fireworks show Remember... Dreams Come True and is also heard in Toy Story 2 and in the Phineas and Ferb episode "Rollercoaster: The Musical!". With electronic musician Don Dorsey, Jack Wagner co-arranged the updated soundtrack for the Main Street Electrical Parade, used in various iterations of the parade from 1977 to 2009. Wagner's voice, processed through a vocoder effect, could be heard in the opening narration of iterations of the parade at Disneyland, the Magic Kingdom, and Tokyo Disneyland. Outside of Disney, Wagner also enjoyed a lengthy career as a radio announcer at KNX in Los Angeles and as a TV actor, his best-known role being that of the malt-shop proprietor in The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet. He was the younger brother of noted choral director Roger Wagner. Wagner's son Mike, a former disc jockey and radio programmer, is a Disney executive and also provided park announcements for Disneyland Paris. Though Wagner died in 1995, his voice can still be heard in a few places throughout the Disney parks. The Matterhorn Bobsleds' safety spiel still utilizes Wagner's voice (though the English language portion has been changed to "Remain seated with your seatbelts fastened", which was excerpted from a former breakdown spiel), as do the Disneyland Railroad train station announcements. His voice can also still be heard when the doors of the Walt Disney World Monorail trains are closing, partly because it is on a system separate from the rest of the spiel system (currently Tom Kane). Though his and Dorsey's arrangement of the soundtrack was not utilized for Disneyland's 2017 edition of the Main Street Electrical Parade, his original narration was restored into the parade's introduction, albeit pitched down a semitone. Wagner was inducted as a Disney Legend posthumously in 2005.
- Jack Wagner was born on October 3, 1959 in Washington Missouri, USA. He appears as Dr. Peter Burns on Melrose Place, the second series of the Beverly Hills, 90210 continuity.
