Duke standing in front of Storm Shadow with Major Bludd and Pluto at his side has just had his undercover status blown by Storm Shadow. Major Bludd feeling betrayed wants an explanation from Duke. Duke then explains that he took the mission from the Joes as a way to make contact and join the Cobra organization. A long pause happens. Later in a coastal city, Major Bludd and Pluto along with Duke get out of a Hummer convoy. As they walk in Major Bludd orders Duke to activate the device which is a Joe transmitter, which Duke throws under a table.

Later in a coastal city, Major Bludd and Pluto along with Duke get out of a Hummer convoy. As they walk in Major Bludd orders Duke to activate the device which is a Joe transmitter, which Duke throws under a table.
In The Pit, Dataframe receives the signal Duke's device is transmitting. Dataframe isn't familiar with the signal but Hawk just asks him to call Scarlett.
Later, Scarlett, Ripcord and Snake-Eyes are observing, using thermal imaging, a warehouse that appears to have several bodies in it but they are not moving. She sends Snake-Eyes in to discover what is up. After a series of leaps, flips and jumps Snake-Eyes finds a skylight that he can see the figures in, he transmits his view to Scarlett. Scarlett and Ripcord, along with other support soldiers, raid the warehouse. What they find is live bodies but they have been frozen by nanomites. There isn't much that can be done for them but Scarlett calls for a medic anyway. Snake-Eyes finds Duke's transmitter.
Scarlett reports in to Hawk, but she can't solve the puzzle of the closed M.A.R.S. facilities and frozen people by nanomites. Her communication line goes dead, just as Storm Shadow drops down from the ceiling. Scarlett quickly draws her gun but Storm Shadow cuts it in half. She is kicked away as Snake-Eyes steps in after a few sword thrusts Storm Shadow grabs Scarlett holding his sword to her throat.
Neo-Vipers arrive in the room and get the drop on Ripcord, Snake-Eyes and the rest of the soldiers are told by Storm Shadow to drop their weapons. They do and then he leads them to an elevator where he tells them he would like to introduce them to someone special. The elevator goes down to an underground sub/train which takes them to a small island off the coast of nearby the warehouse.
As Scarlett, Snake-Eyes and Ripcord exit the sub/train they see Duke standing next to Major Bludd. Major Bludd points out that Duke has been pretending to be anti-G.I. Joe and hates America. Ripcord doesn't believe it. Major Bludd then orders Duke to execute Ripcord. Duke pulls his gun and shoots Ripcord directly in the chest and says "Hail Cobra".
