It is an international military organization whose mission is to enhance the capability, co-operation and information sharing among NATO, NATO nations and Partners in cyber defence by virtue of education, research and development, lessons learned and consultation. It conducts research and training on cyber warfare and has a staff of 30, including specialists from the sponsoring countries. The Centre has taken a NATO-orientated, interdisciplinary approach to its key activities, including: academic research on selected topics relevant to the cyber domains from legal, policy, strategic, doctrinal and/or technical perspectives; providing education and training, organizing conferences, workshops and cyber defense exercises, and offering consultancy upon request. CCD COE core areas of research include: * Legal and policy * Concepts and strategy * Tactical environment * Critical information infrastructure protection The CCD COE develops a wide range of products and services for NATO. These change yearly.
