  • The City is a large Utopian metropolis, and the setting of the original Mirror's Edge. Colorful and vibrant, the majority of the colors within the city are white, blue, and orange (with a lack of red), while many building interiors are white, red, and green. It is under constant construction, as construction materials and equipment appear in nearly every area.
  • After the virus rid the world of all adults, the remaining population of kids was presumably never counted. The closest estimate was given In the city leader election at the end of Series 3, where there was a total of 3521 votes counted. That is, however, a rough estimate as many people gave double votes and it does not account for blank votes or the people who did not vote. The number would also have decreased due to the large number of people taken during the Techno invasion, though a lot of Technos also added to the count.

Being placed on a major faultline, the city is constantly under siege by earthquakes, causing a wide array of disasters. From falling towers to crumbling streets, the city is the very definition of mayhem. Judging from the mock-up of the Trans America Building, found in San Francisco, and the whole situation with a massive earthquake rocking the entire city, as well as the "The City" being a nickname of San Francisco's, it is safe to assume that it is heavily based on San Francisco.

  • This is actually a really complicated question. Maybe more complicated then it has to be. There is no concrete answer to this. The game takes place over the course of several days in October 2011. The City that the game takes place in is never named, but signs on the highway in the chapter "Crime Scene" indicate that it is somewhere near New York. David Cage of Quantic Dream mentioned that the City is modeled after Philadelphia. It should also be noted that on Jackson "Mad Jack" Neville's identification card as seen in "Jayden Blues," it says he lives in Southern Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Also, the letter that was sent to Lauren Winter's husband Allan before their son disappeared is addressed to Springfield, Pennsylvania. There is also a map of Philadelphia in Scott Shelby's office. • Taxon is a small city bordered on two sides by forest and on a third side by ocean. The fourth side is an ever-shifting zone that changes from month to month. (The fifth and sixth sides, of course, are earth and air.) The area enclosed by the city limits is about a mile on each side. (Characters can ascend vertically one mile before reaching the boundary, or, in theory, dig one mile down as well if they have that sort of ability.) Central is bordered by the Miskatonic River to the north, the waterfront to the west, the forest to the east and south, and the Buenaventura River to the southwest.

  • Story copied from the Wikisource. It was golden and splendid, That City of light; A vision suspended In deeps of the night; A region of wonder and glory, whose temples were marble and white. I remember the season It dawn'd on my gaze; The mad time of unreason, The brain-numbing days When Winter, white-sheeted and ghastly, stalks onward to torture and craze. More lovely than Zion It shone in the sky When the beams of Orion Beclouded my eye, Bringing sleep that was filled with dim mem'ries of moments obscure and gone by. Its mansions were stately, With carvings made fair, Each rising sedately On terraces rare,
