- Perfume (パフューム) is an all-girl pop/techno trio from Hiroshima. Kashiyuka, Nocchi, and A~chan who debuted locally in 2001 and nationally in 2005. Forming into Perfume at 12 years of age. In 2007, Perfume released Polyrhythm, which became their first Top 10 in the Oricon charts. In 2008, Perfume's 2nd album, GAME, reached #1 and sold about 104,000 copies in the first 4 weeks and made it to #23 in ORICON Top 2008 Albums, selling 391,493 copies. Their success continued in the single, Love the World, making the group's first #1 single. Their latest single, ワンルーム・ディスコ (One-Room Disco), was released on March 25 taking the #1 spot on the ORICON Charts for the second time.

El grupo en principio estaba formado por: Ayaka Nishiwaki, Yuka Kashino y Yuka Kawashima. Pero unos meses despues esta última se retiro del grupo para seguir con sus estudios. - Perfume was a Santa Cruz band (1999 - ?) started by then-recent high school graduates Michael Peimani (vox/guitar) and Ben Sanabria (bass). They were soon joined by drummer Andrew Bolton. They practiced regularly at the Broadway house. Their first show was at Laurel Street in 1999, where they were met by a warm audience of friends and friends of friends. Michael recieved his first and only "bra on the mic stand" that night. Ben and Michael moved to Portland, Oregon and continued as Perfume with Caitlin Love on drums, followed by Andrew Jensen.
