Synopsis
| - Ward shoots Spidey in the back with an energy burst, then he and the Z'Nox abduct Arthur. Trailing them, Spidey runs into a pair of Badoon thugs who flee, as if scared of him. Later, the Green Goblin fights an Aakon warrior at an Osborn factory and Peter once again wakes up exhausted. He learns from the news of an alien invasion, but heads to Aunt May's house where Ranger tracks him down and tells him Ward infected them both with the virus. Everyone they've come in contact with has also been infected. Spidey & Ranger raid the Z'Nox base under the United Nations where Ward intends to transfer the pathogen that is eating him alive into Arthur by pumping him full of the pathogen's pure form, drawing his own infection out. As Spidey & Ranger defeat the Z'Nox, Arthur pumps the pure pathogen into Ward, further mutating him. Spidey grabs the antidote and injects it into one of Ward's major arteries, turning him into a "super-charged antibody manufacturing mechanism." Ranger holds off Ward until Arthur and Spidey escape. Ward explodes, apparently killing himself and Ranger. The explosion sends the antidote airborne, curing all who were infected.

| - Okay, Arthur, big ugly monster guys and saving the world are my bailiwick. (Did I fit bailiwick into a conversation? Cool!)
