Blüdhaven is one of the largest cities in the United States. A massive metropolis of closely built skyscrapers and other incredible feats of architecture, it is an incredible sight to behold. Much like its larger sibling, Gotham City, even during the day Blüdhaven is a very dark place.

- Blüdhaven is a city in the DC Comics universe. It is usually depicted as being geographically close to Gotham City. It is where the hero Nightwing mainly operates.
- Blüdhaven is a city located near Star City. There appears to be a direct train line from Blüdhaven to Starling City.
- Blüdhaven was a former whaling town turned city. The town had a generally poor socio-economic populace, owing in part to failed efforts to transform itself into a manufacturing and shipping center. Culturally and financially, Gotham City had always overshadowed Blüdhaven, possibly due to this the city had a worse crime rate than Gotham. Not unlike Gotham, organized crime syndicates have always dominated Blüdhaven until its final years, protected by endemic police corruption until Nightwing adopted the city as his home turf.
- Blüdhaven is Gotham's sister city. It's a terrible, terrible, terrible place. Horrible. When Dick Grayson left Batman's side in an angsty temper tantrum, he journeyed to the neighboring Blüdhaven so that he wouldn't be too far away from Alfred's delicious cooking. Blüdhaven is so bad, that Nightwing, one of the world's most incorruptible heroes, was forced to kill some guy, and then got raped by his sidekick. Really.
- After Nightwing split from Batman, he took up residence in the city. When Roulette's original Meta-Brawl was threatened by bankruptcy, she went to Lex Luthor for a money loan and moved to Blüdhaven. With the help of Sonar, she created the Meta-Brawl Glamor-Slam in Blüdhaven, but was taken out of business by Black Canary and Huntress. Years later, Nightwing still patrolled the streets of Blüdhaven.

abstract
| - Blüdhaven is one of the largest cities in the United States. A massive metropolis of closely built skyscrapers and other incredible feats of architecture, it is an incredible sight to behold. Much like its larger sibling, Gotham City, even during the day Blüdhaven is a very dark place.
By the 2040s, Blüdhaven was home to a nuclear facility that was the best source of Gamma Sterillium. The new Batman visited the facility in an attempt to stop the Repeller from stealing the dangerous substance.
Really. Finally, during Infinite Crisis, the Brotherhood of Evil made some improvements on the city. By dropping a gigantic living bomb of toxic waste from an airplane, irradiating it and eradicating it of all life. Yay! But like all cities in the DC Universe that are only interesting because there's so much violent crime, people just kept flocking back there. Uninhabitable? Screw that. Nobody cares what S.H.A.D.E. thinks, and the Atomic Knights cleaned it up anyway, or something. The Teen Titans and the Freedom Fighters were there for that, it was pretty cool. At any rate, Blüdhaven remains safe to this very day for megalomaniac Gods of Evil to set up illegal gambling parlors that they will use as the foundation for the destruction of Everything. Nice job, assholes.
During the Infinite Crisis, the Secret Society of Super-Villains had the Brotherhood of Evil drop Chemo onto the city of Blüdhaven as an act of terrorism against the hero community, resulting in a toxic explosion the size of a nuclear blast that levels the city and infects the area with radiation. Warding the city within a protective shield, various factions attempt to take advantage of the city's irradiated victims and to obtain Chemo.
