Rodger Smith (July 26, 1896 – January 31, 1935) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player who played 6 seasons in the National Hockey League for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Philadelphia Quakers. He was born in Ottawa, Ontario. He played for the senior Ottawa Gunners of the Ottawa City Senior League from 1920-23. Smith then joined the Pittsburgh Yellow Jackets of the United States Amateur Hockey Association for two seasons. When the Pittsburgh Pirates joined the NHL, Smith joined them along with other Yellow Jackets. He played for the Pirates until they moved to become the Philadelphia Quakers in 1930, when he moved along with them. Smith was traded back to the Yellow Jackets, now in the International-American Hockey League, in 1930. He then played one season for the Niagara Falls Cataracts and one for a senior Chicoutimi team before retiring in 1932. He played in 210 NHL games and scored 20 goals and 4 assists.
