Derinkuyu was one of two cities in the Anatolia region used by persecuted Christians and Cappadocian vampires as a refuge, (notably, it was the haven of the Antediluvian Cappadocius himself); it was close to Kaymakli, although distant enough to maintain a separate identity. The fate of the city after the Feast of Folly is unknown, but it probably remained being used as a stronghold of the clan until the purge executed by the Giovanni, in 1444.
