The Shebans were also keen researchers of psionics. At some point in the planet's past, the psionic research in Sheba culminated in the "empowering" of seven individuals with great psionic powers - the Sourcers. Unfortunately, each of these individuals had very particular opinions on how the civilization should progress and how the rest of the planet should be proceeded with. This led to a series of intense magical wars, in which no single individual was able to dominate the others. From here, other settlers moved on to found or settle in the nations of Romera, Germanistan, Litovania, Nova Roma, Java, Texana and Checkistan. During the Psion War, troops from the planet Magera invaded Eden-IV. They were pushed back by the Edenian resistance, but upon withdrawal from the planet's surface, the Magerans launched a strike with a newly developed radiation weapon on Southfar. The weapon was designed to break any EM radiation, in order to disable the sorceresses of the country to use their powers ever again and to disrupt the Dreaming. The weapon also had other side effects: It turned San'Dia, which before had been a green paradise created by highly developed terraforming technology by the settlers, into a giant sea of dust, killing almost all inhabitants, including all natural living organisms. The other nations on the planet were spared by this primary effect, but they were affected by the complete disruption of radio-based communication all over the planet. Since then, all nations on Eden-IV use PalantÃr orbs or communicate online. Also, another side effect was unrecognized: The radiation emitted by the MaGenetic bomb led to a decay in human DNA all over the planet, most notably, it initiated an accelerated collapse of the Y chromosome, which would mean that in few generations, almost all of the population of Eden-IV would be female. Ancient ruins still cover large parts of Southfar and often contain valuable and often functional technological relics or other treasure. In some cases, they even contain functional and dangerous left-overs - the entire desert continent is said to be haunted by the "stalkers" or shadows, guards left behind by the ancient Shebans. In reality, these are cybernetic supersoldiers who survived the fall of their civilization and, unable to die, either became damaged over time or simply went insane, causing them to be violently aggressive against outsiders.
