| - Peter Slaughbal, known as the Unrelenting Clown, is an Insatiable Predator who spent fifty years trapped in a reliquary. Peter originally hunted lonely visitors to the traveling circus where he worked as a clown; his Schism soon had the entire circus helping him isolate and run down his terrified prey. In the early 1960s, a cell of hunters investigated the circus, and only one escaped alive. The survivor, Jean Lansberry, discovered a way to trap Peter inside a painting, and brought his reign of terror to a halt. At least, it came to a halt until Alzheimer's disease ravaged Jean's memory. She failed to make arrangements for the disposition of the painting, and after her death the executors of her estate accidentally set Peter free. Starving and lost in the modern world, the Unrelenting Clown struggles not only to put his life back together but to find suitable prey to sate his ravenous appetite. The Unrelenting Clown is almost always seen in his tattered -and-green costume, with appropriate make-up. Despite his years of isolation, he remains fat and vaguely greasy-looking. In his Horrific form his body swells grotesquely and his flesh becomes translucent and gelatinous. He sprouts tentacles and numerous needle-like teeth, the better to feed with.
