R4-C6, nicknamed "See-six" (C6), was a R4-Series astromech droid. R4-C6 was built on an unspecified planet sometime around or after 19 BBY to replace a R2 droid that broke. R4-C6 never saw any combat for most of its life, and was exchanged every few years to a new Imperial pilot that had an astromech-accepted fighter. In 3 BBY, C6 was sold to a private pilot. The buyer later joined the Rebellion in 1.3 BBY, and let the Rebellion use his droid for anything that was needed of it. C6 was later destroyed in one of the skirmishes on Yavin IV by invading Stormtroopers.

The buyer was later killed-in-action in 0.2 BBY, and left the droid without an owner. Riels Omtar, an X-Wing pilot for Red Squadron at the time, needed an astromech droid for his droidless X-Wing, and was given the droid. After the Battle of Yavin, Riels started piloting a V-Wing, rather than an X-Wing. V-Wings had no room for an astromech droid, which left C6 out of a ship to be used in. C6 was later destroyed in one of the skirmishes on Yavin IV by invading Stormtroopers.
