Vogue Chantilly Dress; ©1957; Full circle skirt is attached to fitted bodice at waistline. Bodice, made of point d'esprit over one layer of net, is covered at top with rows of narrow lace. Point d'esprit skirt has two layers of stiff net underneath. Lace bands on midsection and skirt are a combination of lace beading, insertion and edging sewn together before application to dress. Petticoat is of one layer of taffeta and one layer of net, to which net ruffles are attached. Ribbon may be run through beading or sequin sewn at each hole.
