Sineval was a Minbari and original commander of the Trigati. In 2248, during the Battle of the Line when Earth's defeat appeared certain the Grey Council ordered all Minbari ships to cease fire and surrender to the Earth Alliance forces. Though most commanders obeyed without question, Sineval chose to commit suicide rather than surrender, leaving Kalain, his second in command, to assume command of the ship. In Sineval's memory, Kalain and the crew of the Trigati went into hiding and aside from a few scattered sightings, would not be seen again until 2259.
