Daniel Casey (born 1st June 1972) appeared in Coronation Street in February 2016 as Tom Finlay. The son of the son of North East TV presenter Luke Casey, he joined a youth theatre at the age of 14 and became an actor after studying English Literature at university. His first television role was in Cracker but he first got noticed for Our Friends In The North, gaining his greatest exposure as Gavin Troy in several series of Midsomer Murders. He has also appeared in Peak Practice, A Touch of Frost, Silent Witness, Steel River Blues, The Bill, The Royal, Marchlands, Doctors and Casualty.
