The Battle of Lanchest was the last battle of the Galactic Revolutionary War. The Sith, having reeled from the defeat at the Inner Core in 5,535 BBY had been pushed back until in 5,529 BBY, the Empire stood on the brink of disaster. In an effort to salvage the situation, Exar Kun, about to die, called the Sith together to Lanchest, the furthest planet from the battle lines across the galaxy, to discuss how to solve the situation. A Sith Adept was captured during an ambush near Bastion, and forced to reveal the meeting and it’s place. 45 Jedi disguised themselves as Sith and went to the meeting.

At an appointed time, the Jedi revealed themselves and began mercilessly killing the Sith meeting there. Nearly a hundred were killed before an resistance was offered, and that resulted in the Sith fleeing the area. The conference halls were surrounded by Remnant soldiers, who shot down the Sith as they rushed out the doors. A counterattack was formed by a small group of Sith that had not been invited to the meeting and three assault cruisers. These were quickly destroyed by a hidden fleet of the Remnants. Within an hour, all but Darth Bane had been killed, who had feigned death. He escaped to Korbeen, where the Sith Temple was and he hid there with four other Sith and a thousand fighter pilots loyal to the Sith. The Sith Empire collapsed after the battle.
