| - I believe that the Empire's ensignia used to be the Republic's military ensignia. Or info on how it was thought up for the movies?RiRiDaDaEcho7 06:25, 19 May 2008 (UTC) In the Prequel movies, if you look on the Chancelor's podium, you see the New Republic insignia. Maybe the insignia is on the leader's "podium" (The Council Chamber Doors perhaps?) GrandAdmiralJake 03:03, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

Who designed them or if there was even an answer.
* John Mollo is the guy who designed the Rebel and Imperial insignia's for the movies. You can read about it in Star Wars Insider 98, page 57. According to Mollo, the Imp. insignia was based on shapes used in 18th century fortifications, but the Rebel design didn't have any other sources. I don't think anybody has written an in-universe story about the creation of the symbols, however. I can't help you with the Jedi symbol. It was probably just drawn up for some magazine or other at some point. —Xwing328(Talk) 20:30, 21 May 2008 (UTC) Thanks soooo much. I didnt think there would be any info in-universe, but assumed someone would know that tidbit. Very appreciated.
