Dream, Extinguished is an instrumental hip hop album by American producer/rapper Danny!. The album is the third and allegedly final installment in Danny's famed Dream... instrumental series and, like its predecessors, bears Danny's anthroponym on its cover -- an ominous all-black sleeve -- rather than his stage name in an effort to distinguish himself from Daniel Swain the record producer and Danny!, his rapper alter ego. Originally intended for an April release, Dream, Extinguished's date was moved forward to January 29 (see 2008 in music) to compensate for the unforeseen delay of And I Love H.E.R., his fifth studio album.

| - Dream, Extinguished is an instrumental hip hop album by American producer/rapper Danny!. While Danny's previous instrumental albums, Dream, Interrupted and Dream, Fulfilled, were initially sold in the United Kingdom prior to seeing a digital domestic release, Dream, Extinguished was planned to be released digitally only, with a handful of copies in physical format sent to various media outlets. Unlike the first two entries in the Dream... trilogy, a promotional tagline for Dream, Extinguished does not exist. The "dream" in which Danny refers to is his long-time goal of attaining major success in the music business; despite a recording contract with Definitive Jux Records, unanimous praise for albums such as Charm and Danny Is Dead and ever-increasing popularity, Danny's discontentment with the extent in which his dream materialized caused him to re-announce plans of an impending defection from music, which were first heard during the release of Charm in 2006.
