The Reich Government is the executive arm of government in the New German Reich and consists of the Reichspräsident and the various Reichministeren. The Reichstag elects the Reichspräsident without debate. The Reichspräsident appoints the other ministers of state. The Reichspräsident determines the general principles of governmental policy and is held responsible for them to the Reichstag. Within these principles each minister of state independently carries on the branch of administration entrusted to him, and is himself held responsible to the Reichstag.
