| - All this just to kill one man. A planet laid to waste as Miles stood on top off a cliff looking over the destruction that he had caused. After being turned into the most able assassin to ever live Miles had been able to partly control it but here he was. The monstrosity of what he had just done dawned on him as he edged the cliff edge. It looked so far down as the breeze seemed to go up as if to try to push him off the edge. Others had also gotten in the way and many innocents had died. “I thought I could save them,” Miles shouted into the air as he put part of both of his feet onto the edge of the cliff. He looked up into the sky as if to talk to god himself “they said I was the best assassin the universe had ever seen but now I have proved myself within another title, a murderer.” A tear rolled down his cheek as his eyes watered. He then jumped. *** Kharzel had spent the last five years doing what he usually done, robbing various shops. He looked towards a blue police box which stood in a middle of a field. It seemed to have no purpose there and it definitely didn’t. Despite looking exactly like the TARDIS it was in fact a wooden box replica just to remind Kharzel off the best adventure he had ever had. There had been one worrying thing happening the last five years and that was in the shadows. Kharzel could swear something was following him, tracking his every move. “It is time to sleep,” Alton called his robot voice starting to fault. Kharzel had built a small mud hut around 20 metres away from the TARDIS as he wanted to see if anyone else knew off the legend. “Sure thing bot,” Kharzel laid on the mud bed which at least had a grassy cushion “you remembered when I acquired you Alton?” Kharzel asked Alton who processed this information. He was in the form of an African-American Human which Alton’s previous owner had chosen. “Perfectly well sir. Memory banks are opened,” Alton released image from a camera which had documented how the two met. “Read me that for a bed time story,” Kharzel chuckled “bed time story. A concept that has transformed into being a child’s thing. Other Humans are such curious beings.” “Data taken from cameras and point of views generated by camera technology and tracking the movement of others will be used in order to open up this particular memory,” Alton then showed a large white room. *** Two years ago… Kharzel had been locked into a large white room which resembled a prison cell. This was probably due to the fact that it was a prison cell. A large man entered the room holding a large gun to the side. “Is everything in this place supposed to be large?” Kharzel asked “you look like some sort of 80s action star with a million times more steroids.” “The boss wants to see you now,” the guard shouted as a small, fat man came in. He sat down on a chair that another large guard brought in. The short fat man then leaned forward in his seat trying to look less afraid than he actually was. “Kharzel. Last name cannot be found on any off our records. A robber who has little importance to the world and literally none to the solar system. We have reliable sources that tells us you have the Doctor’s body,” the short man chuckled which Kharzel found very strange “I’m Helka. And you should be very afraid.” “Typical short man leader with a ton of personality and an anger that stems from being bullied at school accompanied with two overly large guards who have been pumped with more drugs than a Cyclist,” Kharzel shook his head. He hated this sort of stereotypical bad guy “by the way that was an Earth reference. Earth is a lot better than this aristocratic planet and no. I am not very afraid of you but your two guards, I am definitely afraid off them.” “Jokes are worthless,” Helka spat on the ground. He looked to his stomach feeling self-conscious. This fat lump was the reason why his wife left him and the reason why the ketchup was spilt on the floor earlier in the day. It was also the reason why the local swimming pool was running low on water due to his excessive insistence on doing the cannonball every time he went near it. He brought out a photo off the Doctor’s body being put into the TARDIS with Kharzel and the four armed chef who at that time was the Doctor lifting him back into the TARDIS “now where is he? What did you do with his body?” “An app for jokes is one off the most profitable apps in the world. The Joke-R app is one of the highest grossing apps possible proving that jokes are priceless instead of worthless,” Kharzel pointed out. He then grabbed the photo examining it and then he noticed something “the fishmonger told you. Probably just trying to get a few bucks into his failing business. The photo has clearly been edited just look at the verticals. Just a bunch of amateurs.” “We have had this photo checked with dozens off experts and it has been through multiple computer programs. It is genuine. We even found some off your DNA within the ship and Rossu has also been found guilty,” Helka waited for Kharzel’s response. “To top that off would be difficult. Just watch me escape this one,” Kharzel had undone his handcuffs despite them being laser charge and made to be impossible to break out off, at least that is the line the company used to sell them. “Impossible. The Unbreakable Cuffs Company said so. Kill him,” Helka shouted as Kharzel grabbed Helka and pulled him towards his stomach holding the cuffs at his neck. “One move and little piggy here will have his neck snapped and you two will be out of a job and with this job market you may have a hard time getting employment elsewhere,” Kharzel grabbed the card off Helka’s neck and used it to open the door. He then locked it behind himself as he continued on in his journey. He looked at some signs that were dotted around the control rooms. “Let me go,” Helka shouted desperately trying to escape Kharzel. They both continued their journeys, well journey, as Kharzel went into a room which contained multiple computers and had flashing lights everywhere. “Little piggy will tell me how to escape. And I want one of those awesome looking robots,” Kharzel tried as Helka spat on the ground in reply “be knocked out it is.” Kharzel dropped the handcuffs from Helka’s neck and as Helka spun around to face him he was greeted with a punch for the jaw. He went high in the air as Kharzel had to rub his knuckles which had been damaged by punching Helka. “Prisoner has escaped,” Alton came into the room holding a small gun towards Kharzel. *** “And that is how we met,” Alton finished as Kharzel got up. He did not feel tired for whatever reason. Perhaps it was whatever was in the shadows. “Add how we escaped, that bit is very important,” Kharzel ordered Alton as the robot did as he was told. The hologram continued from the time they both first met. *** “Put the gun down. I am not a prisoner just one of the workers,” Kharzel tried as Alton tilted his head to the left. A face appeared and then another and another as around two dozen faces appeared in the air. “No match detected. Prisoner who is escaping is lying,” Alton rechecked his databases but it came up with the same result. Kharzel went to one of the computers and started going over the buttons as Alton stopped. The robot shut its eyes and collapsed onto the ground. It then got up as it had a confused expression. “Welcome back. Alton I will name you after something. Not sure what that something is. You are my robot and will do anything to get me out of this building,” Kharzel shouted as Alton pointed the gun towards the door and pulled the trigger as the door exploded. Several guards came in as Alton pulled the trigger and shot both off them. The guards collapsed to the ground. “The guards have been knocked out,” Alton walked out off the door as Kharzel quickly followed. “Okay Alton. Let’s get out of here. Hack one of those vehicles,” Kharzel demanded. Alton logged onto the security system and then unlocked the car. He did this by everything on Telcos being connected through a cloud, a literal cloud, made to store the patterns of most objects within Telcos that required electricity to run. They both quickly went into the car as Kharzel started the engine. “Where are we going?” Alton asked as Kharzel put in the coordinates. “Not a clue. I put the randomiser on so there will be no logical way to detect us,” Kharzel relaxed as the car flew up into the sky and taking just one last look to ensure there was no one after them. *** “And that is the end of the important events surrounding that day. There is something that may interest you that you may need to know,” Alton stood up and started to walk towards the door of the small hut. “Go on then. It will probably be important to the story,” Kharzel chuckled as Alton pointed his head to the side and tried to calculate what his master was saying. “I do not understand your point,” Alton pondered. “Just tell me what it is,” Kharzel sighed. “An extra-terrestrial energy signal has been detected. It seems to be ripping through the fabric of space and time,” Alton then ran out of the door and onto the outside. He then looked around seeming to be trying to catch something but not knowing where it is. “Alton get away from there,” Kharzel shouted as Alton looked back to his master and simply shook his head. “Something is smashing through the time vortex,” Alton observed as he then stood next to the wooden TARDIS that Kharzel had made. “That is a fake. It cannot actually travel through time and space,” Kharzel pointed out. *** “This is stupid. Can we just do something already?” Tetra crossed her arms as she sat down on the floor around the TARDIS console. “Well we are just waiting for something,” the Doctor looked onto the monitor of the TARDIS. “And what would that be?” Tetra asked as the TARDIS suddenly jolted and seemed to be plunging to the ground. “That is what I was waiting for. Something to pop up,” the Doctor started to run around the console as he had to jump over Tetra who then got up and walked towards the TARDIS doors. “What just hit the TARDIS? I was just sharpening my second sword and then almost fell onto it and that would have made my sword blunter,” Shalek complained as the TARDIS then started to lurch in a downward spiral. It then crashed onto the ground landing heavily onto the ground. A knock then came at the door as the Doctor opened the TARDIS door slowly. “You?” Kharzel muttered in disbelief. “Kharzel? Did you shoot me down?” The Doctor asked as he walked out of the TARDIS. He stood on the field looking around himself “it looks like that I may have broken something.” The Doctor picked up a piece of wood which while blank on one side was blue on the other. “Race: Time Lord. Data records indicate you are the Doctor,” Alton then showed various photos of the Doctor in various forms. “That is correct. What did I break?” The Doctor picked up another piece of wood which seemed to resemble a window. “Somehow you managed to land exactly where my replica of the TARDIS was,” Kharzel observed as the Doctor put other pieces together. “Like it was some sort of landing strip. Perhaps the TARDIS went to this location for a reason,” the Doctor pondered. Alton went towards the TARDIS as he looked inside. His emotionless robot eyes seemed to have emotion in them. He looked adoringly into the TARDIS. “A thing of beauty. A mark 40 type TARDIS is absolutely beautiful,” Alton would have smiled if he had a mouth. “Only the Doctor could make a robot feel beauty,” Kharzel chuckled. “Sounds like the Doctor is boring everyone,” Tetra stepped through the door as she looked out into the field. Shalek went back to sharpen his second sword. “Shalek seems uninterested in this latest adventure,” the Doctor noticed. “Well after his huge rage after I ate a bar of chocolate that he claimed to be his and said he did not want to go on an adventure where I was included,” Tetra explained as she shut the TARDIS door. The moment the wooden door entered its frame it started to disappear. “The beautiful time machine is now leaving the planet,” Alton seemed to sound slightly depressed at the very notion. “Of course it will. The Doctor needs to be put in some kind of danger in order to make things exciting,” Kharzel pointed towards the TARDIS as proof of this “it is great for you to show up again.” “You too but why are we here? And we need to get into that hut,” the Doctor ran past the others as the entered the hut. “This is so stupid. We need to find and kill whatever may be hunting us,” Tetra asked the others as they looked to each other and started laughing. “We cannot just kill them, if we could do that then there would be no story and would be considered a quick plot get out,” Kharzel explained as Tetra pulled out a gun and pointed it at Kharzel. She had a particular dislike for people who tried to make a story out of real life events. *** Shalek heard the TARDIS door slam and then the wheezing of the TARDIS dematerialisation sound. He went into the main console room and saw no one in sight. Handles was silently processing the information going through the TARDIS. “Where are the others?” Shalek asked as the quietness of the TARDIS unnerved him. “It seems they are on the planet known as Helmos,” Handles informed Shalek. “And why have we left the planet?” Shalek enquired as he felt along the blade of his second sword. He then put it onto a chair on the TARDIS. “Danger had been detected and we had to escape,” Handles told Shalek as he started to silently hum. “Magnetise the chair to make the sword stay,” Shalek ordered as he could see a shadow. It resembled a Human form as he looked up at the end of the shadow but could not see anyone. He then got out his first sword as he pointed it at where he thought the owner of the shadow would be. “Your sword cannot harm me. My skin is almost invincible,” the shadow then came into being as it revealed a figure with a black cloak over it’s head. Shalek instantly attacked as he swung towards the figure. His sword bent as it hit the figure. The figure smiled as it kicked Shalek’s sword away and pulled out a gun “I’m Miles. Otherwise known as the best assassin to have ever lived and you are about to be killed.”
