| - With Halo being ousted in the first round, the door was wide open for Kingdom Hearts. All it needed to do was take down the lowly 16 seed. Shouldn't have really been a problem, right? After all, Halo was nothing but a weak Xbox title, and even then it took the entire internet to take it down. Surely a Square RPG would make meat out of Starcraft, right? "But Ulti, a 53-47 win isn't a beating."

After all, Halo was nothing but a weak Xbox title, and even then it took the entire internet to take it down. Surely a Square RPG would make meat out of Starcraft, right? HA! Not only did Starcraft come out and win this match, Kingdom Hearts was utterly destroyed (*winks at Slowflake*) the whole way through. Kingdom Hearts won a grand total of seven updates in the entire 24 hours of this poll. And in those seven updates, take a wild guess as to how many votes were cut off of Starcraft's lead in all of the updates combined? 61! That's it. I love Kingdom Hearts to death (just wrote a review for it last night, in fact), but it got its ass handed to it in this match. "But Ulti, a 53-47 win isn't a beating." Fair enough, but look at the prediction percentage. Look at the pre-match hype. Look at all of the people who said before this contest that the Starcraft/Halo match was nothing more than a matchup of who would get its ass kicked by Kingdom Hearts. Kingdom Hearts, plain and simple, was the biggest dud in this contest. It may have helped Cloud and Sephiroth completely own the Summer 2003 Contest, but as a stand-alone title, it did nothing of note in this contest. It almost lost to SoulCalibur, and it lost a match against Starcraft that it was supposed to own. And it didn't just lose, either. It never came close to winning this matchup. Starcraft beat on it early and often, proving once again that the Starcraft fanbase is nothing to **** around with in polls. Oddly enough, there isn't all that much else to say about this matchup. Starcraft won easily, Kingdom Hearts had no excuses to make for itself, and Starcraft proved that the match against Halo was no fluke. The final thing I will say is that the picture for this match was pathetic. A Queen? CJayC has been called a fanboy of many things, and now we can add 'Zerg fanboy' to the list. Good grief.
