Larry Henry Cahan (December 25, 1933 - June 25, 1992), nicknamed Hank, was a Canadian professional player who played for NHL teams - Toronto Maple Leafs, New York Rangers, Los Angeles Kings. and Oakland Seals plus the Chicago Cougars of the World Hockey Association. Cahan was born in Fort William, Ontario. His career as a player began in 1949 and ended in 1974. The 1967 NHL Expansion gave his career a boost and Cahan played four NHL seasons with the Kings and Seals. Cahan ended his career with the Chicago Cougars of the WHA in 1972-73 and 1973-74.

He played junior hockey with the Fort William Hurricanes from 1949-52 then started his professional career in the Toronto Maple Leafs system. He was obtained by the New York Rangers in 1956. From 1953 to 1967 Cahan split his time between the NHL and the minors. The 1967 NHL Expansion gave his career a boost and Cahan played four NHL seasons with the Kings and Seals. On January 13, 1968, Cahan, playing with the Oakland Seals against the Minnesota North Stars, was involved in the accident that caused the death of Bill Masterton. Cahan ended his career with the Chicago Cougars of the WHA in 1972-73 and 1973-74.
