| - Brenna Odell was the daughter of the Bringloidi leader Danilo Odell. She lived in a society that had no advanced technology, and lived off the land. In 2365, she along with her father and dozens of her fellow colonists were transported aboard the USS Enterprise-D after solar flares endangered the Bringloidi society. Brenna was soon shown to be the true leader of her people, as her fiery attitude and fierce independence flared in defense of her people's welfare. She helped alleviate the chaos that ensued when the Bringloidi were beamed aboard the Enterprise-D. Lieutenant Worf compared her spirit to that of a Klingon woman, and during a verbal confrontation with her in the Enterprise-D cargo bay, asked her if she had ever considered a career in security. She displayed romantic interest in Commander William T. Riker, and was successful in seducing him. However, to provide for her people and not wishing to be separated from her father, she agreed to settle among the Mariposan colonists and interbreed with them, helping to establish a viable genetic base in exchange for the integration of the Bringloidi into Mariposan society. (TNG: "Up The Long Ladder" ) Odell was part of Commander William T. Riker's memories while being infected on the surface of Surata IV and treated in sickbay. Odell was initially unhappy with plans made by her father and Wilson Granger, Prime Minister of Mariposa, to unite the Bringloidi and Mariposan colonies. However, given her dedication to her people and to her father, she ultimately agreed to the plan. (TNG episode: "Up the Long Ladder") As part of the creation of the United Ficus Colony, Odell was married to Granger. She became pregnant shortly thereafter with a daughter, Danielle Willa Odell-Granger. However, the child suffered severe birth defects, and died a day after she was born. Odell had at least one other son, by a Bringloidi man. Following the death of Danilo, Odell became the Bringloidi Prime Minister, and held that post through 2376. That year, there was an apparent biological weapon attack on the colony, followed by a brief coup d'état. These events pushed Odell to call for Federation aid to remove all advanced technologies from Mariposa. The USS da Vinci was dispatched in response to this call, and Captain David Gold convinced Odell that this was not the best option.
