Rental cars were introduced on May 16th, 2010 during the fourth closed beta, making them the first vehicles to be obtainable for SpeedBoost. They mostly consists of styles of vehicle models with performance upgrades and aftermarket parts, although several rentals were also released in standard trims. Rental cars are available for SpeedBoost but are occasionally available as gifts as well. Players can rent most cars for 24 hours or longer but cannot modify them in any way. Each vehicle also comes with free insurance, that does not expire until the vehicle is removed from the player's inventory.
