Produced by 20th Century Fox, the series started with the 2015 film Omega, which led to three movie sequels, as well as numerous books, comics and video game spin-offs. Related to the franchise is the two part Omegas VS Hunter series which combines the Omegas with the Hunters from the Hunter film series. Together the two Omegas VS Hunter films serve as prequels to the Omega series. The only actor from the Omega films to appear in one of the prequels was Thomas Sangster, who had played the android Stryker in Omegas, a man named David Ashford claiming to be the android's creator in Omega III and Klaus Ashford in Omega Reborn. Sangster returned for the Omegas VS Hunter films, in which he played Charles Stryker-Ashford and Abraham Stryker-Ashford. The only recurring actress in all four films is Emma Watson, who portrays the series' central character Maya Onegin.
