At least one example of an RG3270M with a 2002 serial number and a Lo-Pro Edge rather than an Edge Pro tremolo has been seen. It is not known whether this guitar was some sort of one-off prototype or an actual production model. The RG3270M was available only in Japan, but the RG3120 and RG3120F are similar models which were offered worldwide. It was discontinued after 2004.
