  • The following tropes of Fujikawa Kaidou appears from the website, TV Tropes. Some of the tropes contains spoilers.......so you been warned. Always Need What You Gave Up: He made himself blind during his duel with Crom Cruach because he was so disgusted at what he saw in the world after his supposed betrayals from the Church. But after the Three Great Faction formed an alliance, he thinks that the world is not yet full of disgusted things after all, and gets him curious enough to see how the future is going to become. Predictably, he then laments the fact that he's blind. Animal Motifs: The tiger, of course. Badass: Even before becoming immortal he was already a famous exorcist, capable of on par with High to Ultimate-Class Devils, Spirits, Vampires, Fallen Angels, Youkais, and Monsters. Now that he's immortal, he's even more powerful due to his constant training where he was able go on par against Crom Cruach, the strongest Evil Dragon and other supernatural beings....And able to kick ass with the best of them. * Heartbroken Badass: Life is like hell for him since the betrayal from his own people, witnessing Masaomi and Cleria's Deaths, and kept on losing his dear ones over the years as immortal. Despite the company of his friends and people. Berserk Button: Being swindled or ripped off. It resulted in a bunch of Stray Devil and Youkai mooks getting yanked into a gravity well with enough force to blow a huge hole in the floor that they were standing on. Threaten his friends or family, you'll soon discover that he's not someone you should piss off. Also don't hold back in a fight with him, or pity him because of his blindness. It gets him angry enough to try and kill Issei for the first time. Big Brother Instincts: If the lives of his siblings, children who lives in the local orphanage at Kyoto, Kunou, Asia or Gasper are threatened in any way, then you'll face the wrath of their big brother. Blind Weaponmaster: He is a blind Human and is master with a sword. Chick Magnet: A natural trait of a Hero is attracting a large number of women. Combat Pragmatist: Whenever he's in the fighting, there is no place for love, hate and sympathy. Only one lives and one dies. Colony Drop: Can apparently make giant meteors fall out of the sky at will! Cool Sword: He was given the Totsuka no Tsurugi, a Holy Sword comparable to Durandal, Excalibur, and Caliburn. And when it can able to extend for a long distance, and able to send out a holy aura/wave that can cut his opponent in half makes it sound more badass. Dark and Troubled Past: Once a prominent and promising Exorcist of the Vatican and Protestant Church, but he was betrayed by his own kind, plus cooperating with the enemies he fought for so long in order to maintain the status quo between the Faction's delicate balances where he witness the murder of his precious friend along with his first love right in front of you. Did You Just Flip Off Cthulhu?: Evidently, he doesn't give a damn over whether or not Azazel is a Governor-General of the Fallen Angels, Sirzechs and Serafall are of the Four Great Satans or Michael being the Seraph and leader of the Angels (or even son of the God of the Bible). Kaidou's bloodlust and killing intent were send through the meetings of the Three-Great Factions. * He likewise states right to their faces that each faction did inconceivable and disgusting acts and actions to preserve their so called "Balance between the factions", where they have taken the lives of many innocent people's lives and beliefs without their consent and that he was willing to fight the Three Factions in order to pay for the bloods they have spilled during the meetings. * And his second example leads off into the later series, where he sends out killing intents through the interview of the young Devils towards the elders who are too damn foolish or blind of what the ideals they had could bring for the Underworld. * And finally, as he met the current leader of the Bael, he stated right to his face that he was willing to beat the shit out of the old stubborn fool in order to make him apologizes for the suffering and abuses he inflicted towards Sairaorg and Misla Bael. Demon Slaying: The usual job of Fujikawa Clan who protected the Japan from supernatural beings, plus being the famous Exorcist of the Vatican and Protestant Church. Eye Scream: The large scar covering both his eyes doesn't leave the most comfortable implications about the cause of his blindness, until it turns out he let Crom Cruach himself to take away on purpose. He was just that disgusted by the things he'd seen in the world and decided he was better off not seeing anything at all. Fight Magnet: Being the descendant of a strong Knight and a Magician, along with being the strongest human may sound cool. But it puts you in the middle of a war, where a terrorist organization and are trying to end the world. Gravity Master: His Gravity magic allows him to increase gravity in a certain area. This power is obsecenely strong, as he's capable of pulling down meteors, and that just as a test. He can also decrease gravity, allowing him to float on rock platforms, as well as change the gravity in an area to any direction he wants, such as sideways, and even sending out projectile orbs that can crush or destroy his enemies. Handicapped Badass: And he does it all while blind. Recent chapters reveal that this was self inflicted between his duel with Crom Cruach. Thanks to his Senjutsu arts, he's able to stay fairly sharp in battle, though his handicap does still leave him vulnerable to certain tactics and trickery. Not Here For Your Revolution: After leaving the Church, Mephisto, Yasaka, and Amaterasu notes that Kaidou's been traveling the world in order to resolve all of his issues with the Three-Great Factions' principles and ideals of preserving the delicate balance. They also noted that he refuses to join any of the factions, citing his pride and principles as reasons he can't do so in this instance. Humble Hero: When being heckled by Kokabiel about his power, he still admits he's still a rookie compared to the other supernatural beings when it comes to their long history of battles between one another. Irony: He forcibly "closed" his own eyes because he got tired of seeing all the evil that goes on in this world. But after hearing the joyful tone of Issei and his companion's treaty of alliance was formed between the Three-Great Faction, he begins to realize that he not only blinded himself to the bad things, but the good things in his world as well. Paying for the Action Scene: Compensates the owner of a local Youkai restaurant for blowing a massive hole in the floor. Person of Mass Destruction: So far, we've seen him blow a massive hole in the floor of a restaurant with what appeared to be a gravity well and summoning a meteor to flatten Loki. Given that he's one of the strongest humans in the world, it's kind of expected. * When he gets truly serious, it is quite a sight to behold. Kaidou reveals he can manipulate gravity on a country-wide scale, with Mt. Everest's mountain-sized looking like an ant to his powers as he levitates the destroyed remnants of the battlefield all at once to use as artillery. In the later chapters, He uses it to annihilate an entire army of mass-produced Evil Dragons owned by Qlippoth. Power Incontinence: Kaidou's yet to get the "I probably should warn the others of incoming meteors" bit down, though, and it doesn't help that he can't see the size of the meteors he is bringing down or the collateral damage it could do. Purple Is Powerful: Fitting to his alias and nickname, he wears a dark-purple/violet attire. His Gravity Magic are also given purple colors for auras. * Maintaining a friendly-rivalry relationship with Crom Cruach. * Maintaining a friendly relationship with Mephisto Pheles * Maintaining a odd-competitive relationship with Shiva, the God of Destruction from Hindu Mythology. Screw the Rules, I'm Doing What's Right: Kaidou follows his own pride and principles in order to change the ideals and principles that Three-Great Factions have set since the beginning of time. It was demonstrated that he stand up against powerful individuals (Power or Political) and states right to their faces that he was willing to fight the Three Factions if there's any harm to the people of the world. Tiger Vs Dragon: First, with Crom Cruach because he's the strongest Evil Dragon. Second, with Isse, Saji, and other individuals who has many dragon abilities and powers. Naturally, the two clash directly with each other since his nickname is the "Wisteria Tiger". Trademark Favorite Food: He seems very fond of eating Asian cuisines, especially noodles such as soba and ramen. * He compliments Crom Cruach's strength and abilities, stating that although he was able to take his attacks head on, it was still pretty brutal. * He compliments Issei's potentials, stating that with constant trainings and fighting he would be in the official Rating Game no time spared and would like to fight him and Vali at the same time to prove which is stronger, Tiger or Dragon?
