Nari was a ronin who was taught by her father Uesho in the ways of the samurai. She passed her gempukku proving her skill with the technique Grass Beneath the Feet, as Uesho had done with his father.

- Legends of demonic beings called Nari come from eastern Europe. The Slavic myth associates them with the souls of dead children, while the Bulgarian version envisions them in the shape of birds. Their childlike appearance hides a vicious, badger-like hostility that is only apparent when in close proximity to a flock. Their resemblance to human children is suspected to be an evolutionary development designed to lull their primary food source into a false sens of security, allowing the Nari to get close enough to deliver a fatal slash with their talons. Nari also have a spectacular defense mechanism: they can become intangible at will. This protects the Nari from physical harm as well as allowing them to pursue their prey through any obstacle,
- Nari is a sparrow who lived in the courtyard of the page's quarters. After Crown and Freckle died, Nari became the queen of the flock, suggesting she might be the oldest offspring of the afore mentioned. At the Battle of Forgotten Well, she lead the sparrows as scouts for Kel and Dom's squad. When Kel was put in charge of Haven, Nari went with her and gained human intelligence from Diane. She follows Kel from Haven to Blayce's castle and back.
- Nari travelled with Bori, Gloin, Glorfindel, Faldor and Fari over the High Pass. Nari was a proud dwarf, as he is stout and strong, he delved the mines with his Dwarven folk. He met Thranduil and Haldir in 3019 as they were preparing to assault the Orc camp on the borders of Lorien. Nari was also among the Dwarves that went to the Grey Havens with Dain to aid Cirdan against a Corsair invasion. He was killed by Drogoth the Dragon Lord during the quest to reclaim the Blue Mountains.
- Nari or Indra the Lightning Pulse was the fifth Elemental Beast created by Ayame Natsumi.
