Waves were up 98 feet or 30 meters high. It was the third strongest earthquake in recorded history with a magnitude of 9.1-9.3, creating one of the greatest humantarian disasters in all of history. It made the entrie planet vibrate as high as 1 centimeter and caused some other, yet much smaller earthquakes in other countries. The League of Nations donated $14 Billion USD in response to the event, with Oceania, France, the US, Japan, and Hindustan contributing the most aid.
