Terry Howarth was the owner of a string of seventeen kebab shops which he described as the biggest chain in the North West, and was described as "Colonel Kebab" in the Weatherfield Gazette. He visited Prima Doner one day and almost instantly threatened owner Dev Alahan with legal action for copying his staff uniforms. The excitable little man pointed out that the red tops and logos were so similar that he was going to do him for breach of copyright, adding for good measure that his ideas had been stolen because Dev was too stupid to come up with his own. The row spilled out on to the street after Dev threw him out. There, a passing Alya Nazir pointed out that a colour can't be copyrighted, the design was generic and unless it also was protected "Colonel Kebab" didn't have a leg to stand on

There, a passing Alya Nazir pointed out that a colour can't be copyrighted, the design was generic and unless it also was protected "Colonel Kebab" didn't have a leg to stand on. The ungracious man refused to be browbeaten by a "little girl" but Alya embellished the truth and said that her textile design was one in business law. Still yelling about his accomplishments, Howarth got into his expensive car and drove off. As a thanks for her intervention, Dev agreed to Alya's suggestion that she design him a new bespoke uniform for the shop.
