The Imperial Army is the branch of the Imperial Armed Forces responsible for land-based military operations. It is the oldest established and second largest branch of the Jinavian military, and is one of five uniformed services, alongside with Imperial Guard and the other three Armed Forces. The primary mission of the Army is to provide necessary forces and capabilities in support of the national necurity and Defense Strategies. Control and operation is administered by the Army General Staff. The civilian head is the Deputy Minister of the Army and the highest ranking military officer in the department is the Chief of Staff, unless the Chief of the Imperial General Staff or Deputy Chief of the Imperial General Staff are Army officers.
