The Bradmarch legislative election of 2008 will be held on August 8, 2008. It will elect the 32 members of the Bradmarch legislature, the unicameral state Parliament. The incumbent Liberal Democratic state government, led by Chief Minister Shannon DeVere will be seeking a second term in office, though it will be DeVere's first election as leader. Their main opponents will be the Conservative Party of Georgeland, currently led by Diane Salinger, who will be seeking to regain power. They previously governed the state from 1993 until 2004. The election will be the first held under the state's new proportional representation voting system. The new legislature will be elected by a mixed-member system, whereby 16 legislators will be elected from single-member constitutencies and the remaining 1
