A Transfiguration Jinx is a spell that can cause a person to transform if a certain condition is met. In the Fall of 2007, Dean Grimm used the jinx as a punishment for Larry Albo and Alexandra Quick. The jinx was tailored to cause both students to transform into rats if they came within ten feet of one another. In September of 2009, Quick used a simpler version of the spell to turn Benjamin Rash's face rat-like during a schoolyard duel with him and his brother.
