Adventure Team was a special mission force for the United States military. Created in 1963 by John F. Kennedy and led by Joseph Colton, Adventure Team assembled mission specialists to tackle threats anywhere from the four corners of the Earth — and beyond. Adventure Team ceased operating in the late 1970s, but it served as the model for the later Counter-terrorist Group Delta (G.I. Joe team), which was named in honor of Joe Colton.
