| - Tam Ryan (born and raised in South Yorkshire) is a British actor who has played two minor roles on Coronation Street: Security Engineer Nigel who, in May 2008 installed a CCTV system in The Kabin at the behest of Norris Cole after being attacked and robbed by a group of young hoodies - led by Kenzie Judd; and in November 2012 played a Businessman. After graduating from Sheffield Hallam University with a BA (hons) Degree in Media Studies, he took the decision to re-route his career away from journalism and towards live performance. After then studying Performing Arts at Bretton Hall (University of Leeds), Tam has proved himself in many fields and has since embarked on a successful and varied career in entertainment. As an award winning comedy-vocalist, Tam has performed all over the world, in his early career as a production vocalist in musicals and theatre tours and more latterly with his one-man show on cruise ships and around domestic theatres, as well as a range of other cabaret venues. In his spare time, Tam is also pursuing his love of writing by currently penning an original crime fiction novel that he hopes will be published on its completion. Other acting credits include roles in Waterloo Road and Emmerdale.
