James: Just the idea of having a whole mall to yourself is great fun. It's like being a kid in Willy Wonka's chocolate factory. But besides all that, some interpret it as social satire – comparing mall-shoppers to zombies. But it just seems that they had a lot of fun making this movie and that fun transcends on to the audience. For its time it might have been the goriest, bloodiest film ever made, which disgusted many audiences. But those who were bold enough to sit through it could probably see the humor behind a lot of it and how creative a lot of the effects are. This is the early work of Tom Savini who also acts in the film. To this day he's one of the most famous faces in the horror business. When watching the movie the characters really draw you in and there's a lot of great lines. Roger: We got this, man! We got this by the ass! James: Romero followed up with "Day of the Dead" in 1985 and "Land of the Dead" in 2005. What's interesting is that each movie really seems to represent the decade in which they were made. If you like horror movies at all don't miss these 'cause these are awesome.
