Fred Etcher (born August 23, 1932) is a Canadian ice hockey left winger who competed in the 1960 Winter Olympics. He was born in Oshawa, Ontario. Etcher won the silver medal at the 1960 Winter Olympics in ice hockey. He played junior hockey for the Oshawa Generals from 1951 to 1953. He then joined the Senior B Oshawa Truckmen and stayed with them as they became the Whitby Dunlops. Etcher was with the team when they won the Allan Cup in 1957 and 1959 but was not part of the team that won the 1958 World Hockey Championship. He was loaned to the Kitchener-Waterloo Dutchmen for the 1960 Olympics.
