They were considered to be quite ruthless by the Energized Protodermis Entity. Blackout and Malygos sought their aid when they made a bid to claim the Frozen Throne for themselves. After the signing of the Five Kings Treaty, and much to the annoyance of Blackout, the Phantom Lords came under the rule of Duke Hydraxis. This meant he could not ask them to help him in the Battle of Zev's HQ.
