This area is safe for any character over level 20 as long as they remain on the ground level and do not stray to far from the entrance. The area becomes extremely dangerous very quickly if you leave the ground level, however stealth rings or the invisibility spell works really well here in many areas due to large numbers of Orc Berserkers and Minotaur Guards.
