The 2008 Coca-Cola 600 was a Sprint Cup Series event held at Lowe's Motor Speedway on May 25, 2008. Kasey Kahne broke a fifty-two race winless streak, passing Tony Stewart with two laps to go when Stewart blew a right front tire. Kahne became the fifth driver to win both the All-Star event and the 600, holding off Greg Biffle by ten seconds. The race featured some 37 lead changes. Kyle Busch finished third to hold a 94-point championship cushion on Jeff Burton (6th) while Kahne knocked David Ragan (12th) out of the critical 12th place position in points.
