Captain George N. Bliss (22 July 1837 to 29 August 1928) was an American soldier who fought in the American Civil War. Bliss received the country's highest award for bravery during combat, the Medal of Honor, for his action during the Battle of Waynesboro in Virginia on 28 September 1864. He was honored with the award on 3 August 1897.
