Dahak is the name of a planet-sized starship in the "Mutineers Moon", the "Armageddon Inheritance" and "Heirs of Empire" (Empire from the Ashes) books by David Weber. In these books, the moon is really an ancient battleship (UTU-class planetoid) in orbit around the Earth. It's crew was stranded on Earth thousands of years ago, due to a cowardice inspired mutiny of a group led by the Chief Engineer of the ship. The crew is the source of humanity on earth; the mutineers running a slave empire under Arctica, while the loyal crew members advance human civilization. The ship lay dormant for most of this time. Dahak is also the benevolent sentient (acquired independent thinking ability, thus a real sentient entity) computer core of the ship featured in this series. There is a menace of an inters
