  • Witch-Hazel (genus Hamamelis) is a genus of shrubs or small trees found on North America and Eastern Asia. Only 4 species are found in this genus: Hamamelis virginiana (North America), Hamamelis vernalis (North America), Hamamelis mollis (China), Hamamelis japonica (Japan). The name comes from the Middle English word wiche, which means bendable and Hazel is derived from the Hazel trees, whose twigs could be used as divining rods; Witch-Hazel could also be used as divining rods.
  • Witch Hazel is not as malevolent as some witches but has been known to attempt such things as eating children (Hansel and Gretel) plus Bugs Bunny. She tends to cackle at anything she says, and whenever runs away, leaves a bunch of hairpins behind. Although for a witch, she is prone for more practical ways to set traps and capture her targets. Witch Hazel has appeared in varied Looney Tune cartoons since her first appearance in Bewitched Rabbit.

The story retells the classic fairy tale "Hansel and Gretel", and Witch Hazel, naturally, plays the witch who tries to cook and eat the children. Bugs Bunny witnesses her coaxing the children inside, however, and saves the youths from Witch Hazel's clutches. However, once the witch realizes that Bugs is a rabbit, she chases him to put him into her witch's brew. Bugs eventually uses Hazel's own magic against her and transforms her into

When a job opening for a closet monster is announced, the other monsters are excited to have new job, but then she catches the paper, she finds out the victim is Li'l Sneezer, who all the other monsters are afraid of. Oogie takes the job, as he has never met Sneezer before.
