Charlotte Amy May Burbury (nee Kennedy) (1832-14 November 1895) was an educationist and campaigner for women's suffrage. The eldest daughter of Benjamin Hall Kennedy, a master at Harrow School. Her father became headmaster of Shrewsbury School, and in 1852 she married William Burbury, second master at Shrewsbury. She was widowed in 1865. She spent a decade as secretary to the Cambridge Local Examinations Board, moving to London in 1871 to spend five years as secretary to the London National Society for Women's Suffrage. In 1873 she stood unsuccessfully for election to the London School Board.
