Sanzo Nosaka (March 30, 1892 - November 14, 1993) was a Japanese Communist leader and was one of the founders of the Japanese Communist Party and the People's Republic of Japan. In 1950, his People's Army toppled the National Party and formed a new government in Edo as the National Party fled to Karafuto and formed a new government there. He was deposed as Chairman of the Communist Party by more moderate opponents in 1977 and he fled to South Korea, and later fled to Africa, where he died in exile in Tanganyika.
