The intro starts with Johan and Peewit riding their horses through the Smurf forest. They pass by a Smurf watching from a branch, who then hops off, and then dives through the hollowed-out log and towards the village, as the Smurf song begins. We then see a group of Smurfs (including Painter) painting a Smurf house, followed by a shot of two Smurfs on a sea-saw, taking turns to paint two different mushroom houses. At the village dam, Papa Smurf sings a verse, while back at the village, Greedy prepares a cake and Brainy opens one of Jokey's surprise gifts. The gift explodes and many Smurfs are laughing at this, but Grouchy Smurf says that he hate smiles. Next, we see Smurfette dancing (with animation re-used from "Smurfette's Dancing Shoes") and singing a verse. She jumps and lands in Hefty

Next, we see Smurfette dancing (with animation re-used from "Smurfette's Dancing Shoes") and singing a verse. She jumps and lands in Hefty Smurf's arms, then gives him a kiss. A large shadow appears, followed by a big green dragon that breathes fire toward Johan and Peewit. Peewit hides behind Johan while his friend uses his shield to block the flames. The scene now turns to a bridge with Johan and Peewit who are being chased by a group of soldiers. Then it turns to Gargamel facing some Smurfs and yelling "I hate Smurfs!", with Azrael running straight towards the screen. The Smurfs pull a rope and Gargamel trips over it and falls. He lands on top of Azrael and scares up a lot of dust. After the dust disappears, the Smurfs are dancing around Gargamel who is tied down with rope and brought back to Smurf Village by the Smurfs. Harmony plays some bad music with his trumpet and a Smurf covers the trumpet's hole. Then a group of Smurfs which is playing in a orchestra appeared as Papa Smurf is the conductor. Finally, as in the first season, the Smurf runs to get behind the SMURFS title logo and then appears on the mushroom.
