After being transported away from the Battle of Gettysburg in the previous episode, Tony Newman and Doug Phillips find themselves in the midst of a different battle at their new location/time period. Upon inspecting a nearby shield on the ground, Newman and Phillips ascertain that it is of Chinese origin and they are in the time period of Genghis Khan. They then get captured by men on horseback and are taken into a nearby tent when a man identifies himself as Batu, the grandson of Khan, who believes Newman and Phillips are Marco Polo’s men and they must provide him with information on how to capture Polo’s fort (which they had been unable to do for months).

Newman, unable to provide any intel in regards to a structure he knows nothing about, gets tortured to the point where he passes out, but Phillips is able to break him out of the area, where they are met and rescued by Polo and some of his men. Upon being nursed back to health by Sarit, Polo’s daughter, Newman falls in love with her. Unfortunately Batu’s men are able to get into the fort and kidnap her, as Batu needs to force Sarit into marriage to gain power for his side. Newman and Phillips are able to rescue her, but meanwhile Batu and his army plan a massive attack on the fort, which they will soon have it overpowered. Upon seeing their plight, Project Tic-Toc sends a bunch of fuses in order to help Newman and Phillips balance the odds with the homemade bombs they made against Batu’s army until they can be transported away from the area.
