Captain Hasso Pemsel (b. between 1905 and 1915) was a career infantry soldier with the Wehrmacht and fought in its ranks throughout the Second World War, being involved in the invasion and conquest of France and later in the entire war with the Soviet Union, from the invasion in 1941, through the harrowing years on the Eastern Front and until the last-ditch defence of Berlin.
